Summers in both of these places are very hot. During the summer, Columbus is warmer than Cleveland since it is farther away from Lake Erie. The hottest month in Columbus is July when temperatures reach 86 degrees.
The lake helps to moderate Cleveland's temperature. Highs in Cleveland in July average just over 82 degrees, and the season's dramatic nighttime cooling makes for pleasant strolls about the city. You must enjoy the chilly, grey, and snowy weather if you are considering either of these cities. This is the most accurate description of an Ohio winter.
Demographic
Since Columbus is Ohio's capital, it would also be the state's largest city. Almost 900,000 people call Columbus home, whereas only 382,000 call Cleveland.
An interesting variety of people may be found in each city's population. 58.6% of Columbus residents are White, 29.2% are Black, 5.8% are Asian, and 6.2% are Hispanic. Forty per cent of Clevelanders are White, forty-eight per cent are Black, two and a half per cent are Asian, and over twelve per cent are Hispanic.

There are jobs in each location, and securing one should be relatively easy. Regarding population, Columbus is the third largest city in the Midwest. It takes great pride in its wide variety of office buildings, warehouses, and retail complexes. It is the centre of American manufacturing. Several major corporations have their main offices in the nation's capital.
Retailers like Kroger and White Castle and fast food chains like Wendy's and Burger King are examples. Also, six of their enterprises are Fortune 500 mainstays.
Ohio State University and institutions like Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital are also big employers there. Companies like JPMorgan Chase and Owens Corning have established headquarters in Columbus.
Crime Rate
This has been said many times before when we contrasted these two cities. There is more crime in larger cities. In this case, the smaller city outshines, the larger one. Neither city's statistics seem great, but Cleveland's are especially dismal.
Let's start with Christopher Columbus. The FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System is the source of crime statistics. There were 33,954 crimes recorded in Columbus.
AreaVibes reports that this figure is 57% higher than the U.S. average. Some 28,530 of those incidents were assaults or burglaries. This is 60% better than typical. The total number of violent offences, including homicide, rape, and assault, was 5,064, which is 43% more than normal. The grade for Columbus is an F.
Culture & Way of Life
How you feel about a city is largely determined by familiarity with its customs and culture. Is everyone able to have fun, or is there a need for more options?
